David Chicotsky and Michaela Chicotsky are husband and wife owners of the Chicotsky Real Estate Group and were personally hired by the founder of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, Robbie Briggs. The Chicotsky family has been in Fort Worth for over 100 years and has a wide array of contacts to rely on in order to help you with your real estate needs.
David was born and raised in Fort Worth, before earning an economics degree from the University of Texas-Austin and completing the graduate school curriculum in environmental studies specializing in economics at Baylor University in Waco.
He’s gone on to complete an advanced certification: Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI). Prior to owning the real estate group, David was a world-class tournament poker player. He was featured in the Time Magazine article, ‘Attack of the Math Brats’ and at one time was ranked the #1 poker player in the world. David's offices are in the heart of Fort Worth’s Cultural District, down the street from the family’s shopping center. Having bought and sold over $50,000,000 of real estate in D/FW since 2015, David has proven to be one of the hardest-working agents around.
Michaela has lived all over the world: from the Philippines to Hawaii to California to Las Vegas. Michaela and David Chicotsky met at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles at a charity event. She was a marketing executive working for the owner of a worldwide clothing brand where she traveled around the country auditing stores.
David’s strong personality and family ties ultimately were enough to persuade her to give Texas a shot; low and behold she’s found a great city in Fort Worth to put down roots. Making a mark on the Fort Worth social scene, Michaela is heavily involved in the Junior League, Junior Woman’s Club, and various charitable organizations. She has also spearheaded the Fort Worth Mahjong community, bringing together many enthusiasts for weekly gatherings.
From initial marketing strategies to keeping everything on time and on target towards closing, Michaela is involved in every step of the real estate transaction.
David and Michaela enjoy living and working in Fort Worth’s Cultural District with their 2 children, and 1 more on the way.
